Welcome to Hockey Club Charcot
Hockey Club Charcot (HCC) is a field hockey club based in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, just a few minutes from the centre of Lyon, France. With more than 220 members, we welcome players of every age and level — from complete beginners to competitive athletes — for both women's and men's hockey.
Whether you're a family relocating to the Lyon area, a student, or an experienced player looking for a new club, you'll find a warm welcome at HCC.
Our Club
HCC trains and plays on a synthetic pitch, and competes in Nationale 2, one of the top levels of French field hockey. Beyond competition, the club is built around three things we care about deeply: teaching the game properly from the youngest ages, keeping the club open and mixed, and growing women's hockey.
Youth Academy — École de Hockey
Our youth academy welcomes children from around 6-7 years old (U7 category) through to the senior teams, with age-appropriate training every week and holiday camps ("stages") during school breaks. No prior experience is needed — most of our young players start from scratch.
Teams & Competition
HCC fields teams across every age category, from U7 to seniors, in both mixed and single-gender formats depending on age. Our senior teams compete at Nationale 2 level, and the club is actively growing its women's section — including a dedicated pathway for girls and women new to the sport ("Les Louves").
Try it out
You don't need any equipment to come try a session: the club lends sticks, balls and basic protective gear to newcomers. Just get in touch and come along to a training session to see if hockey is for you.
